Earthrace Comes to Town
27 May 2009 the residents of Kawhia heard the waters vibrate to Lady Gaga as the vessel Earthrace cruised into the Harbour. The Kawhia Learning Centre students saw this as a great opportunity to do some fundraising for the proposed trip to the ski fields later on during the year. A great day was held by all!! Thank you to parents and grandparents who helped with the sausage sizzle and to all who bought a sausage or two!
Capenwray Manuwhiri
17 June 2009 We were lucky enough to have the great company of some visitors from Capenwray Bible School all the way from Canada and USA. We had a wonderful afternoon getting to know each other followed by a fast game of Kawhia Learning Centre basketball.
Career's Visit
To encourage the Students to make future career plans, we have been lucky enough to have different people come visit us as well as make visits to various workplace areas.
