A tram ride around Cusco

We went for a tram ride around Cusco.  We saw some alpacas, some drawings  of pumas on some inca stones.  The puma is a symbol of power for the inca people.  The city is designed like a puma, there is a place called Sacsaywaman.  That is the head of the puma, there a big stone that the inca´s made and they are the teeth.  The tail of the puma is in the city and the city is also the body.

The school´s here cost for the children to attend.  If they dont go to school they work in the garden, and they plant and havest riwai/ papas.  Children start school at 6 and if your family can´t afford school you become a garden child.

There is a statue of 2 heads these men are the indigenous founders of Cusco.  The indigenous name for Cusco is Qosco, this means ´the centre of the earth´.  The Spanish gave Cusco, this means ´miserable dogs´.  There are lots of dogs on the street Peruvian people pat and play with the dogs.
